2025 Farm Environment Plan Updates

It’s that time of the year again to update your Farm Environment Plan. Our team are ready to go, and we invite you to schedule a time that suits you.

Updating your Farm Environment Plan (FEP) keeps you up to date with changing environmental requirements, prepare for your upcoming FEP audit and discuss any concerns or queries you may have. This meeting is a great opportunity for you and/or your team to reflect on farm practices and better understand scheme environmental expectations.

The Enviro Collective team aims to complete all scheme FEP updates between July and November this year. We appreciate that all farms are busy during this period, so please contact one of the ECL team.

Eva Harris, Principal Environmental Advisor (027 550 0129)

Veronica Penny, Environmental Advisor (027 551 0344)

Georgina Woods, Environmental Advisor (027 550 0131)

Your FEP Update will include:

  • An overview of the BCI Nutrient Discharge Consent – where things stand and expectations moving forward
  • Review scheme-wide water quality monitoring data and discuss what this is telling us
  • Revise and discuss your FEP and audit actions, including how to achieve Advanced Mitigation
  • Provide any other support to help you prepare for your next FEP audit
  • Check and update your farm maps
  • Assist with preparing a Winter Grazing Plan (if applicable)
  •  Review your Authorised Land Use
  • Discuss specific requirements for farms that operate adjacent to sensitive receptors (waterways, springs, wetlands, community drinking water protection zones or sites of significance to Arowhenua) and;
  •  Update you on the likely direction of current national and regional freshwater regulation.

We look forward to catching up with you again soon.
